Week 38! as John Denver would say :all my bags are packed and I am ready to go" (sing sing sing a little melody!)

So as of today my bag is now packed for the hospital (finally right?), a robe, and a boppy...can we say procrastination? I just didn't see and don't see the big deal in a bag...it's nothing that Jordan couldn't have grabbed and it isn't as if I would be using anything during my first moments at the hospital I mean it's called LABOR. In any case that is checked right off my list :) Car seat however is not in the car and I still need to work on getting my breast pump from my friend (then I think I will be all set). I went to the doctors last Thursday and I was 1.5 cm dialated SO we shall see what the doctor says tomorrow (tomorrow is here I am now 2cm and 80% effaced!) regarding any changes with that! He did say though that I for sure wouldn't have him this week which my mom was super relieved about but JORDAN was not. LOL. He was super sad, he really thought that the doctor would say, "oh my gosh you have got to get to the hospital right now, you're having this baby today!" Poor poor Jordan.

My belly button popped out months and months ago so I just feel more and more like a turkey timer...LOL...and that being said this little dude is about done COOKING I would have to say! The bassinet is all set up (I added a little bit of green to it so it looks different now than it does in the picture from prior blog post) along with the changing station in our dining room (grin). Jordan and I have finished cleaning the guest room last night for when friends and family come to visit, so now I have to work on our bedroom and then I can move his stuff in there for when he arrives but for now the dining room will work! I finally just washed all the NB and 0-3 months clothes and everything else that he'll use in the beginning as well. Haven't set up the crib because I want to see if he'll use the bassinet for the months we have left here in Tampa (possibly longer because it's just so dang cute!), and hopefully just move the crib in the box to Brandon in November.

On a side note I get BH contractions a lot, but I have been for more than a month now BUT this past Saturday at 2am I THINK the real thing woke me up and they lasted for and hour to an hour and a half or so, not to sure because I just wasn't worried about it since I still had 2.5 weeks left but it felt like bad cramps. I tried to look up what they feel like but people kept writing about how your back hurts and it didn't for me...my symptoms were that I had bad bad cramps all over my stomach. So that is why I am not sure what I was having. Anyways I haven't had anything since, yes I am relieved. I need to ensure I do not go into labor before my mom and my mother in law are back in town which isn't until the beginning of August. Well my mom is back Sunday but then Kitty is out of town until the 31st...LOL...either way I still don't want him coming early if anything later the better. I figure he is coming either way and it would be nice to have the extra weeks pay (grin) and the extra time with my hubby, family, and friends...before time just starts passing me by.

So far I am super tired a lot, not falling asleep tired, but tired as in I just ran 10 miles tired when in reality I have only walked maybe 10 steps. grrrr. I have had such a great pregnancy and so much energy up until last week or the week before that I just can't complain, but it is so weird to feel so tired when I only walk a few steps or speaking a few sentences. I still sleep through the nights just fine and I haven't had rib pain, back pain, or any cases of being tired during the day like others say I would get. I didn't get anything that other pregnant women get so I feel so blessed. I still have my "full" problem but what can you do, this to shall pass! Oh and I am also a super slow walker (I am convinced a toddler could walk/run faster than I could at this point).

I just can't wait to meet my little dude and I can't wait to see Jordan be a daddy o roo! He is so dang excited, I haven't ever seen anyone more excited than him. *blush* I'm so lucky and so blessed right now I just can barely stand it.

Wednesday, July 14

almost that time for a birthday party!

I am officially down to less than a month or is that a month? hmmm well in any case I am 37 weeks today and I officially have found that I have crumbs on my belly and can set food and drinks on that 37 week belly while I work or watch TV (very convenient if I must say so myself...LOL). So I am sure most of you know that at 37 weeks, women are classified “full term” (also known as “ready to pop”, “could go any second”, or “any day now”), which means that developmentally, the baby should be prepared for arrival, even three weeks before the estimated due date (akkkkkkkkkkk).

I’m just not sure how we got here so fast. I feel like I was standing in the Publix aisle yesterday, and that the experience of the ultrasound was just a moment ago. I can recall family and friends reactions as if we just hung up the phone with them or telling them face to face. Those were very fun times.

Now things are pretty quiet, save for the crinkling of overindulgent packaging and bubble wrap that Babies R Us insists on for shipping even foam toys through the mail. Work deadlines have been met...for the most part...LOL

I’m so excited to meet this little guy, but no part of me is wishing for the end to come quickly. Even though I need Jordan's help to pull me out of bed in the morning or anytime for that matter, so I don’t have to get a rolling start by myself. But with all the pain and/or discomfort I feel I know I could still use the remaining time and I am certain that I’ll miss him moving around in there and the special feeling I feel all the time having this connection with him, just him and I, when pregnancy is over.

It goes so fast.

I have a feeling that this is just the first of many years of saying the same thing about plenty of what’s to come.

In June I had my baby shower thanks to the awesomeness family I have! My mom, Sonia, Bridgette, Caity, Kitty, Amber, and Sam did such an amazing job and I couldn't have asked for a more gorgeous one! So many of my dear friends were there that I just felt so blessed and comforted to have their support. It was a great time (even though we all know how nervous I was. LOL). Sonia did so much and I just want to especially thank her for all she did, for all she made to make it so cute...for the special invitations and well just everything and all the decorations she made. I know it took her so long and I do not want her to think it goes or went unnoticed. The bear below she made among so many other things and the theme of the party well it is written on the board with the bear (blush). Here are a few pictures from that day. The crib (and all that goes with it from head to toe) isn't set up but thank you so much mom and nanny for that gift! and to Sonya for the crib skirt and well again all you are making! LOL...and the bassinet, THANKS MOM, for that very awesome and thoughtful and exciting gift! We can't wait to use it (smile) he is going to look so cute and heaven like in it. Thank you all who came and for all the gifts JORDAN AND I can't THANK YOU enough we love you all so much and even if you didn't come we love you all the same and missed you being there!

Theme of shower and yes Sonya cut and did everything for all the decorations...she's seriously nuts. LOL...in a great way!

Saralyn and I just missing each other and enjoying our marriages and well thanks for coming Sara!
