we love us some Hague's

we love love love Julie and Andy they are such great people and Julie is the sweetest woman ever! This Christmas they hosted an ugly sweater party and we also exchanged cookies and did a white elephant gift exchange :) now first and for most Jordan and I didn't mean to be party crashers but we were the ONLY ones who didn't wear an ugly sweater. I could say that a really good reason that we did not was because we ran out of time to look for one or rather I did, Jordan's been working a whole lot. But even though that is the truth I still feel really bad :( we were so sad to not participate because we know we WOULD HAVE WON that contest! LOL no really we just love to party and have fun and look goofy but on that note we at least got to visit with some pretty awesome friends.

these are the Hague's and we love them and they are so sweet and have the sweetest little boy Brayden and we are so glad they decided to have this party. MUAH Hagues!

Jordan and I won a picture of a guy playing the saxophone AND a glass unicorn figurine :)
Maria won the uglies sweater and also got some cool gifts...Julie...way cool idea with the road sign!
us sticking out like sore thumbs WITH NO sweater :( LOL we're party poopers!
the Herrings....they are just so cute and funny and we love them and their cute family

and this is our most recent picture of Faye...Christmas morning :)

For Christmas we got Faye two things...an ornament (her first) and scripture scout CD's :) (thanks to Kat who introduced them to us (smile)) we figure she has so many toys already and her grandparents and family and friends that spoil her rotten that we would be modest oh and the fact that she really doesn't get it anyways (grin). My super great friend Juanita had a great idea of 3 gifts each Christmas for all the kids (well each kid gets 3 things)...I think it's a great idea. There is more that goes with why you do 3 which I won't go into now but I think it's a great idea and we may adopt it in the future. We also want to start the a new tradition next year since we now have Faye, that the present that everyone opens on Christmas eve will be PJ's, sometimes they will match sometimes they won't, which will be the surprise part. But it will be great fun for pictures I think? (cheese?).

We made Christmas breakfast again this year and it was so fun. Well Jordan did almost all of the cooking, and he is amazing! This year on the menu was : two homemade quiche's, from scratch waffles, eggs. bacon, homemade oj, and banana's. it was yummy!

We wish you all the happiest of holidays and a very happy new year!

WHO WE ARE as individuals

This time of year always has me thinking, when I take the time to stop and reflect on the past year, myself, and what our family is and why families are so important. Which then led me to think of a past FHE Jordan and I started when we were first married, we decided to write our own "family mission statement" and/or our own "Proclamation to the World." It has been on my/our mind a lot lately and so we are deciding to finish it :)

It will feel good to finally have this in writing and hung on our wall, but most of all I wanted to bring this idea to all of you out there because I think it's an awesome activity to do as a couple and then later on tweak it with your children. I know I will just love as the goals of our family change or just lengthen and to see what each person brings and how time changes people and ideas. To see not just what we hope for our family but what we expect from each other.

Merry Christmas and I wish you all the happiest new year!

My Sweet Daughter and Husband

I love Jordan and Faye I do not know what I would do without them. Nothing is very new around our neck of the woods. It just got cold today and still no snow :( SHOCKER...oh to live in Florida :)
Thanksgiving Day 2010
We moved back in with Jordan's family so that I can stay home and stay dept free, not sure how long that will be we shall see but we are so grateful to them. They are the sweetest people ever and I just love them and love the son they created (heehee).

I like taking Faye with me anywhere I go and at church I love having Jordan there to help but when I go to YW I want to bring her with me LOL so sometimes I do if I feel she will be a quite little munchkin. I like to lay on the floor with her under the play gym and play with her.

Jordan is finishing up his toughest semester yet with a bang, I am so proud of him and all he is accomplishing. He works, takes classes, and comes home and is very loving husband and dad to us here...I always tell him he doesn't have to help me when he is home but he always insists on it and he loves it. He is a huge blessing and I am a very lucky gal. His recent Faye accomplishments are that earlier this month he got Faye to laugh for him (first one to do so) by jiggling her...I got her to laugh for me last week but kissing her neck obnoxiously (smile) but I love when her firsts are with him. He has daddy daughter days already and lets me do my thing all the time or when he has free time and I think that is cute stuff. I love that when he is gone before she is up and comes home when she is in bed that he sneaks in there and picks her up and rocks with her for 10min or more I also Love that she doesn't wake up LOL. I think that is all about the updates I have for Jordan.

Me...well nothing much just same ol' same ol'. Out visiting friends when I am not here organizing and cleaning and visiting in between Faye's naps. I am caught up on her journal that I was neglecting and I am done Christmas shopping.

Faye just chilling out
Faye's home away from home
Faye is 4 months old as of yesterday and just swell. She is 25 in. long and weighs 12.7oz (tiny little Faye). I get a complex about it often however the doctors have all assured me she is healthy healthy healthy so that smooths over a little the part of me that feels that she just isn't gaining weight ya know. anywho she is in the 75% for her height and 28th for her weight...head is in the 68th percentile...lol...I think she takes after her dad on that one (heehee). Her accomplishments up to now is that she rolls over and is scoots around...she plays in her saucer, and bounces in the johnny jump up, she grabs moving objects, laughs, smiles non stop, loves hanging out in the kitchen in her bumbo seat while I or anyone is around, liking car rides way more, seems or appears to really like the children's song book on cd, watching RaFfI with her dad, she knows when I leave a room, knows when she is going to be fed and where to go (blush), she still sleeps through the night and her naps are like clock work...every 1.5 hours if not we get a grouchy little faye, I think her favorite kind of toy are the ones you either pull that play music or the ones you pull and they vibrate...keeps her amused during floor or car time, loves to sit in my lap, likes to swing on the swing in grandma's backyard, watching water do it's thing, and a few weeks ago she discovered her feet and so that put rolling around on hold LOL she was or is obsessed with those toes so it helps because I can walk away again because for a little while she would roll and get frustrated when she would get stuck and she would forget how to get back to her back...I guess I should stop LOL I could go on forever. But anywho I think the newest thing is that she picks up toys with both hands and places them down in other places. I think that is the newest thing...

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!
