I wish time would slow down :)

so much to say about my little girl who is now 5 and 1/2 months old now.

So what is new? well Faye isn't just rolling around to get where she needs to be like she has been since November but she is crawling (up rock rock move up rock rock move is more of what it is LOL) and stomach surfing. she sits up on her own and is just learning how to not fall over when she is in the sitting position. she can stand by holding on to things...not for a long time but she could if she wasn't so curious about everything else going on in the room :) she LOVES her dad. her new favorite toy is to sit in this small box (random cardboard thing) and play with her toys...I'll post pics when I have a chance to get on the other PC. She loves Raffi. She just started to cry when people she doesn't know holds her but I think it's because she is/was tired so we'll keep working on that. She loves to hold your face with both hands. She loves to bite our fingers (I was kind of weirded out by it months so Jordan did it but I am so over that now). She loves the outdoors. Lasts a lot longer on walks now (thank gosh) :) likes to be held in a baby bjorn carrier. loves to swing in her SASSY bouncer...bounces too but likes to swing as well. likes to swing with us on the tree swing out back. likes to be read to but likes it more if we're out doors. she loves to look at shadows. She likes to sit with me in her rocker after every waking (she will just sit or stand with me and play with me one on one so peacefully...this will go on for so long but eventually I need a bathroom break (wink)). She now eats rice cereal and oatmeal (since she turned 5months) and loves it...never really made to funny of a face which was a surprise but hey I am sure the faces are coming (smile). She has tried a carrot (raw : just sucking) and a sugar snap pea...she liked both :) she has her first sippy cup but doesn't quite like it that much so we're putting it on hold until she is older :) or maybe not lol maybe I'll give it a whirl this week. she sits in highs chairs all by herself (at home and in restaurants (smile)) but she can't sit in a shopping cart that well but she definitely works it LOL. we've started working on sign language with her...she doesn't get it I know but it's something fun for us and I know will pay of for her someday. She is super good at church and occupies herself and others a lot when she is hanging out on the floor...big distraction to a lot of us LOL. maybe we shouldn't do that LOL. she loves her grandmothers and grandpa...they are so animated I love it! she still LOVES the mirror oh my gosh that and Raffi work all the time if she is bored.

amazon wish list: we sing silly songs.

She still sleeps at night swaddled (6pm-6am). so since she was 5 weeks old she hadn't ever woken up in the middle of the night, not one time (yes we, are, and were, and are so blessed to get 10-12 hours of her sleeping peacefully), however for the past 3 weeks she's been waking up in the middle of the night around 2am (I am not complaining at all I kind of like it LOL). however last night she slept straight through and the plan is to do the same tonight (she may not have much of a choice :) yea not much (smile)) and during the day well these days it's on her belly with her bumm up in the air I know a ton of kids do it but I just think Faye is the cutest when she does it. naps have been officially 9am, 1pm, and 4pm since Christmas time (yay!) and she officially goes down on her own, awake, and all by herself.

what a big girl we have.

sorry to ramble so much about her but I have to catch everyone up and sometimes I guess I should stop but I just want to remember it all...good thing we have a journal...hee hee

it is so beautiful to experience all this because I know if I was not at home I wouldn't experience 90% of it. I find myself hurting a lot when I think of children, or so much more than I ever have, for abused or neglected or left or hungry or just anything. I look at Faye and how happy she is how much understanding I have for her and how when she cries it's always something so simple and easily fixed. I wish I could just live in a bubble and not hear bad stories that happen to children...it really upsets me and angers me in ways that are not natural. I pray for those children today and always, may all parents find peace and understand and patience for their little/big ones.

Jordan and I have a new song we really like "You and I" by Michael Bubla you guys should all check it out.

I can't wait until Faye can go to the YMCA with me :) and I can't wait to get my running stroller together here soon...she is almost old enough for it! yay!

being a mom is GREATTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT I love the sleepless nights I love the pain of pregnancy and I just love all the hard and frustrating things because at the end of the day gosh I look back and it wasn't hard at all and it's over and everyone is happy.  I LOVE love LOVE my husband who never once has not taken advantage of his free time to spend with Faye and I. He loves to watch her and hang out with her and doesn't want to miss a thing so he gets up to experience her knew things in the morning i love that he knows just how to make her happy (he is so creative i just can't stand it). he always is offering to watch her so I can go and do this and that. He has the greatest ideas of how we should help her or raise her or just to take care of her. He was born to be a husband and a father....and with that we are officially trying for number 2!!! hopefully it doesn't take a long time hee hee (blush). maybe we'll get our little Liam right?
